ARTICLE: Renewing Old Pieces in your Wardrobe
As with everything in our busy day-to-day lives, we prioritize getting done the most important things first with the not-so-important that get left at the bottom of the pile. ARTICLE: What if people never saw what we wore?
So often as a fashion designer people complement me on my style, not only my clients, but my friends, my family, and my business associates. Everyone see's what we wear, they make judgements on our personal clothing styles in split seconds. So I ask the question, “What if people could never see what we wore?”. What if people only saw what we said?, what if people only saw what they heard?, what if people only saw what they felt?, what if people only saw what they smelled?. What makes life so interesting and wonderful is that we can experience a favourite film by going to the theatre, putting on our favourite artist by popping in a CD, touching someone so near and dear to us to give us that tingling sensation we so love or spraying on our most sensual perfume to experience that wonderful smell all over again. And the fact is, everyone does see what we wear and they get a sense of us in a simple glance. So whatever your style is, why wouldn't you want everyone to see it, flaunt it, it's one of the most visually identifying statements we can make about ourselves, our personalities, our inner identities. And like I always say, it is just clothing, so have fun with it and why not spring out into something fresh & new this season!

ARTICLE: 'Feedback' warm this winter
I was doing a Trunk Show last week and had just finished my presentation and of course started apologizing to my ladies as I have a very bad habit of doing saying "I hope that wasn't too much detail for all of you..." when one woman said "no I thought it was very helpful!" and another woman said "Not at all, actually your so enthusiastic about your collection it looks like you really love what you do..." and another stated "...I can tell you have really put a lot of thought into all the pieces so that they would be flattering on almost any body type!". So, not such a bad habit after all when I get that kind of feedback huh? Now running your own business is no slice of pie, it comes with it's own numerous amounts of daily challenges & rewards, but whatever the current or future goals are for your business, it's always so important to remember what your customers want, what they need, they are what fuel our businesses. We will continue to dress our ladies in the finest clothes this winter, and hopefully with a nice little cup of mulled wine in one hand and the tape measure in the other, and don't forget, if your not sure what you need, ask us, we'll help!
